Koko Fitness is a growing company developing interactive software and hardware that takes away the mystique of strength training, making it accessible for anyone at any age, wherever they are: at the gym, at a physical therapist's office, in a hotel, office, school or at home.
Responsibilities
- Establishing the design, performance and production criteria for new products
- Brainstorming, developing design concepts and conceptualizing using 2-D or 3-D tools including SolidWorks, Rhino, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Working closely with mechanical engineers to solve design and engineering challenges
- Sketching initial design ideas and ongoing design refinements
- Identifying the suitability and availability of materials
- Producing detailed drawings and specifications using SolidWorks, including parts lists and costs
- Occasionally traveling to production facilities and evaluating the feasibility of production
- Researching materials, processes or market requirements, and assisting in electro-mechanical engineering problem-solving
- Making design solution presentations
Secondary Responsibilities
- As much (or as little) exercise as you want - we have a CSCS personal trainer on staff.
Qualifications
- 4 year degree in Industrial Design or equivalent industry experience
- 4+ years of industry experience
- Excellent concept sketching and experience in prototyping methods
- An understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Understanding of plastic molding processes
- Experience using Solidworks, Rhino, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Ability to manage time effectively while working on multiple projects
- Self-motivated individual who thrives in an evolving startup environment

The staff accountant will be responsible for processing the routine accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries. This person will ensure that the financial information is properly and accurately processed, reconciled and analyzed in a timely manner so as to enable accurate internal and external financial reporting, and ensuring the confidentiality of the information. This person will also be responsible for some office management activities as detailed below.
Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable transactions.
- Process Accounts Receivable transactions.
- Assist in monthly close including standard and allocation journal entries.
- Account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
- Support financial report preparation.
- Assist in department projects as needed, including audit, tax.
- Conduct cycle count and physical inventories.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, including functions such as vlookup and pivot tables, Word, Access & PowerPoint) required.
- Experience with small business accounting systems, QuickBooks preferred.
- Basic understanding of the accounting rules.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, organized.
- Operational accounting experience is a plus.
- A high-energy level and be prepared to work very hard in a high growth/rapidly changing environment.
- Experience preparing GAAP financial statements and a thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
- Process all billing, receivables and collection activity including sales tax tracking and reporting.
- Process inventory movements.
- Participate in cycle counting and physical inventories, as needed.
- Assist with department projects, as needed.
- 2-3 years in an AP/AR role with a strong understanding of the basic accounting rules.
- Ability to work with employees at all levels throughout the company.
- May require fulfillment of customer orders.
Office Managment Responsibilities
- Overall management of the office systems, equipment and facility.
- Maintain and order all supplies for the office including kitchen, office supplies and equipment.
- Distribute incoming mail and faxes, prepare outgoing mail and maintain postage equipment.
- Answer main telephone line, greet visitors.
- Coordinate company-wide meetings and events.
- Coordinate travel arrangements as needed.
- Assist with administrative needs including filing, spreadsheets and other projects as needed.
- Coordinate job interviews.
- Initiate new employee/vendor paperwork including medical, 401k, Section 125, W-9 etc…
Qualifications
- 2-3 years in administration and/or office management.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Exposure to Human Resource policies and procedures a plus.
- Experience with QuickBooks a plus.
- Knowledge of desktop PC support.
